Starting Therapy
Reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say, or feel very clear about what you need.
Introductory session
Free 30 minute Chat
An opportunity to talk a little about what has brought you to therapy, ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
Session Fees
£45 / Hour
I operate a sliding scale (from £25) for clients on low income to keep therapy accessible, particularly for those facing financial barriers.
Location & Setup
In-Person & Online
Sessions are available in-person in my quiet practice room in Combe Down, Bath, or securely online via Zoom.
Your First Session
Our first meeting is a free 30-minute introductory session.
It isn’t an assessment you need to pass, and there is no expectation that you tell me your whole story.
I’ll ask a few straightforward questions about what has brought you to therapy and what life is like for you at the moment. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable and ask me anything you’d like to know about therapy or the way I work.
Most importantly, it gives you a chance to see how it feels for us to talk.
There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
